Buddy is a two year old (2008) Standardbred gelding. Registered brown but very close to black, no white markings. He is broke to harness, has a beautiful gait, good manners and is trotting bred. He has got a nice personality, very loyal and friendly. He has been handled daily since he has been born, and stands perfectly for farrier and vet. Fairly big for a Standardbred, Buddy will very likely end up at around 16.2hh like his older brother. This guy has been very well cared for in his life and it is great to have him around the barn. We think he would make a great carriage driving horse, either for pleasure or competition. He is very willing to learn and I’m sure he could be trained in pretty much any discipline. Out in the field he can be quite impressive and reminds us of a friesan at times due to his colour and way of going. He does not show the speed for Standardbred racing and we have too many horses.
