Sale due to family loss. Would just like the space & not desperate to sell. We would like it to go to a good home where someone will do it justice. Full size coach copied from the original Redwood City, La Honda and Pescadero overland mail stage, an Abbot & Downing located in the Janeway-Parks museum in Santa Ynez, CA. Museum curator (John Crockett) was a friend of my father, Norm Larson. Mr. Crockett stated the craftsmanship is phenomenal. Needs pole, paint on undercarriage & upholstery. Wheels by Amish. My father hand built the rest & stated he had 3,000 hours in it. Thatd be less than $4 an hour, not counting materials or wheels. Where can you find real craftsmanship for that wage? He was a very talented craftsman & known for his efforts in promoting blacksmithing and metalworking (Norm Larson Books). I have pics of the stage & also of the original, just ask.
