This antique carriage is restored with quality work; wheels, shafts, and many sections have very tough finish. The seat/back cushions are new. The carriage is museum-, competition-, and/or parade-ready. This cart was to carry farm produce or deliver shop items. The body is 63” x 42” Set on a cranked axle with a low floor, back double doors to open completely. One seat lifts up on hinges to step in/out. Shafts are 30” inside measurement at the top where the cart box is and narrows to 24” at the girth which widens to 29” at the end. 76” long where attached to the horse with 80” total. The wheels are 25” from the floor to the middle of the hub (total diameter of 50”). Built from naturally finished hard wood and oak trim. Eye catching with unusual, graceful lines and beautiful wood. It has hardwood fenders with signs that reads George Carter, harness maker, Maidenhead. Comes with detachable lamps. The rein rail, shaft tips, and fittings on the shafts are brass. 541-990-5646
