Built in 1959 in the jungles of Costa Rica, this cart won several national Ox Cart parades before it was retired in 1989. The Ox-Cart is made of solid mahogany, a very expensive wood. The wheels are rimmed with hand-forged heat-expanded, then cooled steel. The tongue is almost 14 feet long. The Ox Cart weighs a total of 650 pounds. This is a major work of art. Truly unique.
