This is a German-made Kuhnle Funline C-M 6-passenger marathon carriage. There are 3 of these in the world (per Gustav Kuhnle), 2 in Holland and this one in Virginia. There is a walk through to the front seats, no step is higher than 15 inches making it easier for children and people with physical challenges to get on. Lots of handholds for security. There is also another front seat that replaces the lower height left seat. It has 36 inch tires in back, 31 inch in front. Mercedes disks front/VW disks in back with twin brake pedals. A handbrake also. My full Shire pulled it as a single, but it is a light horse pairs vehicle. The carriage comes with shafts, adjustable for length and width and a spring-loaded pole (it floats). Lamp mounts are also included. Its a beautiful riding carriage, very secure and amazing quality. The carriage is in beautiful shape, no dents, dings or disasters.
